“sleep is the best meditation” - Dalai Lama
Establishing an evening wellness routine will help prepare your mind, body and spirit for a restful sleep where you will wake feeling refreshed, recharged and ready for your day ahead.
We will begin the workshop with a discussion of sleep and it’s importance to our health. I will create a peaceful ambiance to alert our bodies that we are ready to slow down and prepare for deep rest. I will provide warm golden milk (dairy free) that I have created to soothe, calm and nourish the body while I walk you through prompted journaling to release residual thoughts held in your mind from the days activities. I will then offer you several yin poses that are non-impact and restorative with an emphasis on stillness and relaxation. This will lead into yoga nidra/yoga sleep, a guided meditation using breath work and visualization to bring you into your deepest state of conscious relaxation possible.
Maintaining a routine for slumber is important for the natural rhythms of our body, doing so assists with our mental, emotional and physical bodies. This workshop will offer you the tools and techniques to develop a sleep routine for you to use daily, anytime and anywhere.
Some benefits of an evening wellness routine include;
