In this four part series we will be combining breathing techniques, the postures of yin yoga, and guided movement with the therapy balls. You will feel a lengthening in your muscles, increased range of motion, more supple and mobile joints, and most importantly you will be increasing pliability which helps to prevent muscle strain or tears. Additionally reaping the benefits of tension and stress relief, better sleep, increased circulation, improved nerve communication, etc
I’m combining yin yoga and therapy ball massage, two of my favorite techniques for self-care, in this 4 Part-Fall Full Body Reset series. Deep tissue work like this is a great compliment to any lifestyle. This workshop is designed to be for anyone and every body…whether you’re interested in starting a wellness regime, looking to balance an already vigorous routine, or land somewhere in the middle.
Each session we will be combining the postures of yin yoga with techniques of The Role Model Method using therapy balls to encourage myofascial release throughout the body. This is a non-impact, restorative approach to allowing the deeper, denser connective tissues of the body to release tension and remain healthy.
Join me Friday evenings from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Each session we will build on the next making our way through the 3 planes of fascia (back, front, side) and week 4 will be an overview of the entire body and creating a routine unique to your individual needs.
Week 1- 9/6 (back body: plantar fasciatus, tight hamstings, low back stiffness, tight upper back and shoulders, tech neck, headaches)
Week 2- 9/20 (front body: sore feet, shin splints, tight quads, sore knees, shoulder discomfort)
Week 3- 10/4 (side body: weak ankles, IT Band tight, tightness around the hips, wrist soreness, shoulder stress, clenched jaw)
Week 4- 10/11 (overview of the whole body/individual sequence)
