An IAYT Member School - 1st step prior to IAYT Accreditation Program

Yoga is a vast subject. 200hr trainings can lay a strong foundation, but we often graduate knowing formulas, cues and rules without background, context, and “why”s.

When we know the formulas and cues that work generally, we can teach generally. But we may feel unsure of guiding students with specific concerns. In fact, Yoga Alliance forbids the use of “therapy” or “therapeutics” in any affiliated programs, geared towards a broad stroke application of the yoga.

In this program, you work 1:1 with Lora Ksieniewicz to create a unique curriculum that fills in the gaps for you, and helps elevate your teaching so that you can work specifically and intelligently with those in group settings, and individually. We establish a scope of practice that allows your work as a yoga therapist to interface with other medical and wellness professionals in a collaborative and holistic way. And we provide regular mentorship throughout the process, whether you are physically nearby, or on the other side of the world.

Some of what past trainees have incorporated into their curriculum:

  • Trauma Informed Yoga

  • Yoga for Addiction

  • Yoga for Chronic Pain

  • Yoga for Social Change and Justice

  • Yoga for Disordered Eating

  • Yoga for Anxiety/Depression

  • Yoga and Neuropsychology

  • Yoga, Representation, Inclusivity, and Cultural Appropriation

  • Yoga for Athletes

  • Yoga for Aging Populations

  • Chakras and Energy Healing

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine

  • Ayurveda and Yoga

  • Creating a Successful Yoga Business

  • Yoga for Kids

We keep our classes small, generally capped at 5 trainees, to ensure each gets fully individualized training. Though the training is individualized, we curate a group dynamic with other trainees through shared assignments, virtual and in-person meet up opportunities, and a private online group for sharing questions, support, and ideas.
